Our bodies are capable of so much more than we often give them credit for. Today’s guest, Sanjay Rawal and I talked about how limiting our minds can be when we are exerting, whether that be physically or emotionally. We chatted about his new film and how spontaneity in life makes him feel most alive. He dives into how he realized he needed an inner purpose in life and what he did about it. We also chat about why you need self-discovery and how that’s often much different from self-love.

About Sanjay Rawal:

Sanjay spent 15 years working on human rights campaigns for acclaimed artists and philanthropists, one of whom encouraged him to start making films. Sanjayʼs first documentary, FOOD CHAINS (2014), was produced by Eva Longoria and Eric Schlosser with narration by Forest Whitaker. Sanjayʼs second effort took a sharp turn. Applying narrative cinematic technique, Sanjay directed a sweeping expedition film. 3100: RUN AND BECOME was released theatrically in the US in 20 markets last fall.

Inside this episode, Sanjay shares:

  • How physical endurance helps with your spiritual progress
  • How our bodies capacity is far beyond our mind’s idea of our capacity
  • How your purpose gets revealed through happiness
  • Why you can’t have self-love without self-discovery
  • What the world would be like if we got out of our own way
